Ankita Lokhande Jain was born on 19th December 1984 in Indore, India, into a Marathi family. Her parents, Shashikant Phadnis, is a banker and Vandana Phadnis is a teacher. She came to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue her acting career, which took off after she graduated from the university. She made her television debut in Balaji Telefilms’ daily show that won an award; Pavitra Rishta aired on Zee TV. Since then, she has been in a variety of different television programs. Later she decided to leave television in 2018 to seek a career in movies.

Her feature film debut was as Jhalkaribai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which was released on 25th January 2019. Later, she appeared in Ahmed Khan’s action film Baaghi 3, which was released in the year 2020 and was directed by Ahmed Khan.

After this, in the same year, she was chosen for the role of Jhalkari Bai in the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

In this film, Kangana Ranaut appeared as the main character Lakshmi Bai. This film was released in December 2019. People liked her performance in the role of Jhalkari Bai. The film was also very popular at the international level. After this, Ankita was seen in the film ‘Baaghi 3’. This film was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, in which the lead actors were Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh. In this way, she has had a career in television and Bollywood so far.
